i must be

claiming

the minority

knowledge

for all the people i meet

wisdom

respect their parents despite

understanding

their flaws

they’ve no right

their abuse

to claim

their foolishness

and the older i get

it’s difficult to relate

the more sure

to this approach as

i become

it seems to me

many parents are

rather counterproductive

petulant

to ignore their flaws and

children who

rationalize the harm they cause

had their own

in the name of blood
